The Musicals I still want to see and hope to see Again

I decided to write a post about musicals I still have not yet seen and those I want to see again. These all are musicals I want to see.

Those I still haven’t seen in person:

  • Beauty and the Beast
  • Aladdin
  • Frozen
  • Anastasia
  • Once
  • Hadestown
  • Something Rotten

Those I want to see again:

  • Les Mis
  • Wicked

Of all of these, I have a chance to see some of them either this or next year. That is because Blumenthal is bringing them to Charlotte. Aladdin and Les Mis are the last two musicals I hope to see this year. Next year, Anastasia, Frozen, and Wicked are coming to Blumenthal. As for the rest, I have no idea when I will have the opportunity to see them, but I have a feeling that Hadestown might be part of Blumenthal’s 2020-2021 season all because of its success at the 2019 Tonys. You might be thinking, why would I want to see Wicked a 5th time and Les Mis a 6th time- for one thing, I know there is more to be explored in Wicked and Les Mis is a hard musical for me to ignore, and I have never seen Les Mis on tour in my hometown before.

I am a strong spiritual person who is a big fan of musicals. This blog mainly is about musicals. Every so often I talk about spirituality. Sometimes I add in movie reviews, book reviews, and about my life in general. I hope you find my blog inspiring.

  1. I agree with so many of these! I’m especially waiting on a Hadestown US tour! I have hopes that Beauty and the Beast might launch a national tour sometime soon as well because it’s apparently getting a revival on Broadway!

  2. I got to see Beauty and the Beast years ago when it came to The St. Louis Muny. Anastasia and Aladdin also came to STL last winter but, I didn’t have the opportunity to see them. I would love to see them next time though! I completely agree with your list! So many wonderful musicals!
